This pendant depicts Saint Christopher carrying the Christ Child, a beloved Christian image symbolizing protection and safe passage.
Saint Christopher — whose name means “Christ-bearer” — is shown in half-length, turning toward the child perched on his shoulder. The Christ Child raises his right hand in blessing while holding a small orb in the left, representing the world he redeems.
The medal’s softly scalloped edge, warm patina, and clean Art Deco lines point to a French origin, possibly from ateliers such as Becker or Penin, who were known for devotional work of this exact quality and style.
