A bold French advertising tray produced for Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin, finished in the maison’s instantly recognizable champagne-orange glaze. This rectangular form features integrated cigarette rests and crisp black branding reading Champagne Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin, Reims, France, making it a striking example of mid-century French hospitality design.
Rectangular ashtrays were less common than traditional round forms and were often used in bars, lounges, and private tasting spaces, where a more architectural presence was desired. The saturated glaze, strong silhouette, and iconic typography give this piece both graphic impact and historical weight.
Originally intended for tabletop use in restaurants and champagne houses, it now works beautifully styled on a bar cart, coffee table, or console—equally functional as a catchall or purely decorative object.

All Maetiques items are considered final sale and sold in, "as-is" condition. Our items are extremely old and have had a prior life, which leads to imperfections. We will always point out major flaws, but due to the nature of our items, returns or exchanges are not accepted.
