An exceptional, truly iconic, large-scale antique gilt bronze standing frame, stamped “Alph. Giroux, Paris” on the original easel support. Alphonse Giroux was one of the most esteemed Parisian bronziers and luxury object makers of the 19th century, supplying finely crafted decorative works to an elite clientele.
This frame features rich Rococo-inspired ornamentation, with deeply cast scrolling foliage, shell motifs, and a sculptural crest. The quality of the bronze work is immediately apparent — heavy in hand, crisp in detail, and finished with a warm, luminous gilt patina developed over time.
The frame retains its original standing easel and hanging loop, allowing for both tabletop and wall display. Its generous 7 × 10 size makes it especially impactful, suitable for anchoring a vignette, styling atop a console, or displaying a cherished artwork or document.

All Maetiques items are considered final sale and sold in, "as-is" condition. Our items are extremely old and have had a prior life, which leads to imperfections. We will always point out major flaws, but due to the nature of our items, returns or exchanges are not accepted.
