A refined late 19th-century cut crystal casket, rectangular in form with thick, hand-polished crystal walls that catch and refract the light beautifully. The hinged lid is mounted with an ormolu (gilt bronze) band, fitted with a delicate beaded edge and a shaped escutcheon with working keyhole (key not present). The clarity of the crystal, combined with the understated gilt mounts, gives the box an elegant balance of luxury and restraint. Likely intended as a dressing table box or jewelry casket, it remains a timeless decorative accent, perfect for holding small treasures or displayed on its own.

All Maetiques items are considered final sale and sold in, "as-is" condition. Our items are extremely old and have had a prior life, which leads to imperfections. We will always point out major flaws, but due to the nature of our items, returns or exchanges are not accepted.
