A vintage sterling silver pendant honoring two of the most beloved Catholic figures. On one side, St. Christopher wades through the waters with the Christ Child upon his shoulders, a symbol of protection and safe passage. The reverse features the Virgin Mary of Lourdes, hands joined in prayer within the grotto, recalling her apparition to Bernadette in 19th-century France.

St. Christopher is one of the most popular saints in Christian tradition, venerated as the patron saint of travelers. According to legend, he was a giant who devoted his life to carrying people safely across a dangerous river. One day, he carried a small child who grew increasingly heavy with each step—revealing himself to be Christ, bearing the weight of the world. This story made Christopher a symbol of protection and safe passage. Though details of his life are uncertain and some accounts legendary, he remains a beloved figure, often invoked for safe journeys.

All furniture items will have a 4-8 week turn around depending on your location and our driver's route.

All Maetiques items are considered final sale and sold in, "as-is" condition. Our items are extremely old and have had a prior life, which leads to imperfections. We will always point out major flaws, but due to the nature of our items, returns or exchanges are not accepted.
