A French agricultural competition plaque awarded in 1979 at the Concours Agricole Départemental de la Mayenne, recognizing First Prize (1er Prix) for female Percheron draft horses (Trait Percheron).

Cast in metal with a muted grey ground and hand-applied gold detailing, this plaque reflects a more restrained, utilitarian aesthetic than later enamel examples. The typography is bold and honest, and the subject matter — Percheron horses — ties directly to one of France’s most iconic working breeds.

With its original hanging opening and softened patina, this piece reads as quietly graphic wall art. A beautiful addition to a kitchen, office, library, or gallery wall, especially layered with other agricultural or equestrian objects.

Dimensions: 8.25X5.75
