A beautiful antique French glass bowl with finely detailed bronze mounts and delicate etched decoration throughout. The clear glass body is cylindrical through the center with a gently flared upper rim, creating a graceful profile that feels both decorative and substantial.
The upper portion is finished with a fine crosshatched or diamond-cut texture, while the center of the vessel is decorated with an elegant etched floral garland in a soft frosted finish. A narrow bronze beaded band wraps around the transition of the rim, adding definition and warmth against the clear glass.
The bowl rests within a bronze base mount with repeating classical detailing and small projecting feet. Viewed from above, the base of the glass reveals a subtle radiating starburst pattern, adding another layer of craftsmanship to the piece.
Likely intended as a bonbon dish, decorative table bowl, or small centerpiece, it would be beautiful used today for candies, small collected objects, jewelry, or simply displayed empty.
The bronze retains an aged golden patina with darker oxidation and minor verdigris in places. The glass shows light surface wear and age-related variation consistent with an antique piece.
