A richly painted French floral still life featuring a generous arrangement of deep red, rose pink, and creamy white chrysanthemums against a softly mottled blue-green ground. The artist built each bloom with thick, expressive strokes, giving the flowers wonderful depth, movement, and texture.
Painted in oil on board and presented without a frame, this piece has an especially honest, collected quality. The saturated florals and muted background make it beautiful displayed alone or layered into a larger gallery wall.
Likely French, dating to the early to mid-20th century. Unsigned. Scattered surface wear, small paint losses, softened corners, and marks throughout are consistent with age and visible in the photographs.

All Maetiques items are considered final sale and sold in, "as-is" condition. Our items are extremely old and have had a prior life, which leads to imperfections. We will always point out major flaws, but due to the nature of our items, returns or exchanges are not accepted.
