French Floral Still Life with Violets and Mimosa

A warm and cheerful French floral still life featuring a gathered bouquet of deep violet flowers and golden mimosa arranged in a low, rounded vessel. The composition is especially lovely for its contrast—the rich purple blooms sit against soft yellow sprays and fresh green leaves, all painted over a muted, linen-toned ground.
The flowers are built with visible, textured brushwork, giving the bouquet wonderful dimension and movement. Signed in the lower left, appearing to read H. Fennech.
Presented in a vintage gilt frame with black-painted outer edges. The frame shows scattered scratches, rubbing, chips, and wear consistent with age, while the painting retains scattered surface marks and minor imperfections visible in the photographs.

All Maetiques items are considered final sale and sold in, "as-is" condition. Our items are extremely old and have had a prior life, which leads to imperfections. We will always point out major flaws, but due to the nature of our items, returns or exchanges are not accepted.
