A richly detailed French jardinière, crafted in the Louis XVI style with exquisite burl wood veneer panels framed by gilt-bronze (ormolu) mounts. The bombe-shaped form rests on small feet and features delicate pierced gallery trim, scrolling side handles, and decorative mounts in classical motifs.
The warm, swirling patterns of the burl wood give this piece depth and movement, beautifully contrasted by the shimmer of the gilt ormolu. Designed as a centerpiece for fresh flowers or greenery, it now serves equally well as a decorative accent on a console, sideboard, or dining table.

All Maetiques items are considered final sale and sold in, "as-is" condition. Our items are extremely old and have had a prior life, which leads to imperfections. We will always point out major flaws, but due to the nature of our items, returns or exchanges are not accepted.
