A pair of original botanical studies sourced from an artist’s studio in France, presented together in a double oval frame. One study features a softly rendered peony-style bloom with layered petals, while the other captures a more delicate wildflower composition—light, airy, and observational.
The drawings themselves are quiet and restrained—more about line and form than full color—giving them that intimate, in-progress quality of an artist’s working studies.
A double oval gilt frame with a twisted rope border, joined at the top by a sculptural bow motif—a detail that feels distinctly French and highly collectible. The form alone sets it apart, offering symmetry and softness in one piece.
The gilt has developed a rich, warm patina with subtle variation throughout, softening the structure and adding depth. The dual easel back allows it to stand beautifully, making it ideal for tabletop styling, while still offering the option to hang.
