A substantial antique French bronze tabletop frame with softly sculpted foliate corners and a warm, aged patina throughout. The scale alone makes this one special — it has presence without being ornate, and the bronze tone reads rich and architectural rather than flashy.
Currently styled with an antique handwritten French document featuring embossed revenue seals and ink script, which gives it that layered, scholarly feel you love — but it would be equally striking with a portrait, charcoal study, or architectural print.
The back is finished in solid bronze with a wide kickstand support. It feels weighty, grounded, and distinctly European — the kind of piece that anchors a desk, console, or library shelf beautifully.
This is not a lightweight decorative frame. It has heft and intention.
The rear kickstand extends quite far back. To prevent it from opening fully, the frame needs to be angled intentionally when displayed so the stand rests at the desired position. Once positioned properly, it displays securely.

All Maetiques items are considered final sale and sold in, "as-is" condition. Our items are extremely old and have had a prior life, which leads to imperfections. We will always point out major flaws, but due to the nature of our items, returns or exchanges are not accepted.
