A beautifully refined French semainier, the traditional seven-drawer chest originally designed for organizing a week’s wardrobe, executed in classic Louis XVI taste. This piece pairs warm mahogany-toned wood with delicate brass banding and column mounts, resting on tapered fluted legs with brass sabots. The white marble top softens the architecture and adds that unmistakable French balance of structure and elegance.
Each drawer is dovetailed and glides smoothly, offering generous storage while maintaining a narrow footprint — ideal beside a bed, in an entry, or layered into a salon wall. The proportions are especially nice: tall and tailored without feeling heavy.
One of our favorite details is the restraint — clean lines, soft patina, and subtle ornamentation that lets the materials speak rather than the carving. It reads collected, not ornate.

All Maetiques items are considered final sale and sold in, "as-is" condition. Our items are extremely old and have had a prior life, which leads to imperfections. We will always point out major flaws, but due to the nature of our items, returns or exchanges are not accepted.
