An atmospheric 19th-century French oil painting signed and dated E. Marlier, 1882, depicting a tranquil riverside landscape at dusk. The artist captures the golden glow of sunset reflected over still waters, surrounded by softly lit trees rendered in earthy browns and subtle green tones — a masterful study of light, shadow, and mood.
The painting is presented in frame — a deep ebony and gilt wood design with carved beading — complementing the warm palette and enhancing its sense of depth and age. The back is marked with the stamp of “Maison A. Beghe, Paris,” a respected 19th-century supplier of fine art materials, confirming its French origin.

All Maetiques items are considered final sale and sold in, "as-is" condition. Our items are extremely old and have had a prior life, which leads to imperfections. We will always point out major flaws, but due to the nature of our items, returns or exchanges are not accepted.
