A beautifully textured vintage French landscape painting depicting a quiet canal or riverbank lined with autumn trees. The composition has wonderful movement, with expressive brushwork, soft water reflections, warm orange foliage, and a winding green path leading the eye into the distance.
The painting is done in an Impressionist manner, with thick, painterly strokes and a soft atmospheric palette. Housed in a warm gilt frame that complements the golden autumn tones beautifully. Signed at the lower right.
A lovely piece for a gallery wall, mantel, study, hallway, or anywhere needing that collected French countryside feeling.
