A softly painted vintage French still life featuring clusters of green and deep purple grapes gathered in a shallow white bowl. The palette is beautifully muted, with washed tones of celadon, pale blue, cream and lavender giving the piece a gentle, timeworn quality.
Painted on artist board, the composition has a wonderfully loose, impressionistic hand. The visible weave-like surface and areas of rubbed pigment lend it the feeling of an old studio study—simple, unpolished and full of quiet charm.
The work is unsigned and unframed, making it especially lovely leaned into a shelf, tucked among collected kitchen pieces or framed in something simple and aged.

All Maetiques items are considered final sale and sold in, "as-is" condition. Our items are extremely old and have had a prior life, which leads to imperfections. We will always point out major flaws, but due to the nature of our items, returns or exchanges are not accepted.
